Dr Michelle Magee is Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for Neuroscience of Speech, at The University of Melbourne. She was awarded her PhD at University of Melbourne in 2012 and transitioned into assessing sleep and circadian regulation in alertness state, where she was awarded a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship from the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Alertness, Safety and Productivity in 2015.

During this time, she undertook research investigating physiological markers of shift work maladaptation and developed behavioural interventions to manage shift work. She has particular interests in understanding physiological biomarkers of disease and disease progression and sleep-wake regulation, including circadian rhythm disorders and shift work maladaptation. She has project managed multiple observational field studies and has extensive experience in managing both single and multi-site phase I-IV clinical trials. Dr Magee is currently investigating acoustic characteristics of disease, disease progression and alertness state.
