Martin Hirche

 

Martin joined the Centre for Workplace Leadership at the University of Melbourne in April 2019 and supports the marketing area at the centre. Martin is specialised in predictive analytics, data mining techniques, forecasting and trend analytics, data visualisation, and data science for unstructured and structured big data.

He is an expert analyst for syndicated retail store and panel data, and his most recent work focuses on the physical availability of CPG brands, retail distribution and related brand performance measures. His work is published in industry journals as well as peer-reviewed academic journals.

Prior to the University of Melbourne, Martin worked at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute where he was responsible for the entire lifecycle of market research from problem definition to client solutions as well as working on industry-funded R&D programs. He also worked in the beverage industry for wine and trading businesses globally and managed international key accounts with major grocery retailers in Europe, the UK, North America, and Australia. Earlier, Martin also gained experience in the hospitality industry at Michelin-starred businesses in France and Germany.
