Dr Tim Monaghan is a clinically active General Practice Registrar and Research Fellow in Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Department of General Practice, Melbourne Medical School. Dr Monaghan joined the Department of General Practice in 2019 as an Academic Registrar and conducts research in relation to antimicrobial stewardship and the use of primary care data for quality improvement purposes in general practice.

Dr Monaghan has completed the Melbourne Teaching Certificate and has been involved in undergraduate teaching through the Melbourne Medical School since 2019. Prior to undertaking medicine Dr Monaghan worked as a corporate lawyer practicing in a range of areas including financial services and privacy law.
