Daiane Scaraboto

Daiane Scaraboto is Associate Professor of Marketing. Previously, she worked at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, and completed a PhD in marketing at York University, Canada (2012), and a Masters of Science in Marketing at UFRGS, Brazil.

Daiane's research challenges taken-for-granted, disciplinary understandings of the fundamental features of markets such as the notions of value, economy, and the relation between demand and supply; subjecting these established concepts to a broadened approach that accounts for the role of consumers in creating, shaping and provoking transformations in contemporary market forms. Her research has been published in several academic outlets including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Business Research and Journal of Macromarketing. Daiane teaches at the undergraduate and graduate programs at the Faculty of Business and Economics.
