Dr Wei Yang research expertise and interest focus on building energy efficiency, building design optimization, building performance evaluation, life cycle assessment, thermal comfort, urban heat island and HVAC system control. Wei teaches in the areas of building services, building regulation, building design and project management.
Before joining The University of Melbourne, she was the program coordinator for Bachelor of Building Surveying in Victoria University. Wei has published over 60 papers in high impact international journals. She has received many awards for her high impact publications, including a recent CIBSE Napier Shaw Bronze medal awarded by Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineering, UK. Currently She serves as the associate editor for Frontiers in Built Environment. She is a member of The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), The Australian and New Zealand Architectural Science Association (ANZAScA) and International Society of Indoor Air Quality andClimate (ISIAQ).
