Dr Jana-Axinja Paschen is an environmental sociologist and Research Fellow with the Rural Innovation Research Group, in the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences. Jana-Axinja is a systems thinker with expertise in applied community resilience research, agricultural innovation systems and adaptive capacity building in complex change contexts.

She is an experienced action researcher and her research collaborations with remote, rural, regional and urban communities, and with government and industry partners, include work in resilience, climate change adaptation, bushfire risk and natural resource management policy, and applied co-innovation.
