Abstract
The lymphatics are an understudied vessel system that is already known to be involved in key aspects of human physiology and disease. In this proposal we will characterise molecules and signalling pathways involved in controlling the formation of new lymphatic vessels and the remodelling of existing vessels via lymphatic endothelial cells that line these vessels. This information will enable us to identify new biomarkers and therapeutic targets to treat human disease.
