Abstract

People involved in the criminal justice system often have complex physical and mental health needs. If these needs are not managed effectively, they are at increased risk of poor health outcomes and preventable death. Currently, a lack of evidence restricts our capacity to respond effectively to their needs. This Fellowship will generate globally unique evidence that can be used to improve our public health response to reduce health disparities and prevent death in justice-involved people.
