EXERCISE FOR HIP AND KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS: ENHANCING SYMPTOM RELIEF
Grant number: 1172928 | Funding period: 2020 - 2025
Knee & hip osteoarthritis (OA) is painful and affects >2 million Australians. Exercise is recommended as a treatment, but symptom relief is unsatisfactory for many patients. My research program aims to improve the benefits of exercise for hip & knee OA symptoms. I will achieve this by leading a talented team to investigate what types of exercise treatments are most effective, how exercise relieves symptoms & who might particularly benefit from exercise or require adjuncts treatments.
