Grant number: 1174431 | Funding period: 2020 - 2024
Knee osteoarthritis is a major cause of chronic pain & disability. As a world-leading physiotherapist researcher, my program aims to improve use of, and outcomes from, non-drug non-surgical treatments particularly education, exercise & weight loss. It will do this via 4 research streams: 1) motivating & supporting patients to effectively self-manage; 2) increasing patient access to these treatments; 3) increasing clinicians’ capacity to deliver quality care; & 4) driving global research efforts
