Abstract
It is necessary to consider the content and methods of AIDS social research publications for these represent research advances as well as current issues of concern for practitioners, communities and researchers alike. This article critically examines some of the research that has been conducted to date into social aspects of HIV and AIDS. It quantifies the content and major methodological style of publications in the journal AIDS Care from 1989 to 1995.
