Abstract

The structure of the title compound, 1-allyl-2,8,9-trioxa-5-aza-1-silabicyclo[3.3.3]undecane (C9H17NO3Si), was determined in order to study the structural effects which arise from hyperconjugation between the C - Si bond and the allyl double bond. The dative N⋯Si distance is 2.140(1) Å.
