Bis(p-nitrobenzoate) ester of cis-1,1-dimethylsilacyclohexane-3,4-diol

Abstract

The asymmetric unit of the title structure, 1,1-dimethyl-1-silacyclohexane-3,4-diyl bis(4-nitrobenzoate), consists of four independent C21H22N2O8Si molecules which show only minor differences in conformation. The sila-cyclohexane ring adopts a distorted chair conformation, with the C4 substituent axial and the C3 substituent equatorial.
