Abstract
The structure of the title compound, C16H23NO4SSi, was solved in order to determine the C(alkyl)-O(ester) bond distance for comparison purposes. There exists a close contact [O3⋯S 2.766 (2) Å] between one of the nitro O atoms and the sulfinate S atom. The C-O bond distance is 1.464 (3) Å.
