Abstract

Purpose. To monitor longitudinal ch inge of fundus autofluorescence (AF) in patients with Age Relatée Maculopathy (ARM) and to document their response to intervention. Methods. Piospective evaluation of 20 patients with ARM presenting with soft drusen was carried out. Images from all patients were acquired under pharmacologie midriasis by using a Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope (cSLO) (Zeiss, Oberkochen, Germany) modified to produce lluoresceni images with an excitation wavelength of 488 nm and a barrier tiller of >21 nm Eyes were randomized to leceive laser intervention or 10 contiol, and then imaged every 3 months over a period of a year Results. Areas of local AF were demonstrated ..
