Sub Bayesian nearest prototype neural network with fuzzy interpretability for diagnosis problems

Abstract

It is shown that the nearest prototype classifiers (NP(1)) are functionally equivalent to the fuzzy systems that can be applied for classification type of problems. The applicability of this proof to the industrial type of diagnosis problems are investigated, suggesting further improvements to the system.
