Abstract
Many people with disability in Australia experience housing and living arrangements which are markedly different to the rest of the population. A large proportion of people over 25 years old ive with parents, in group homes or in large congregate or institutional settings. People with disability are more likely to experience housing stress, are over-represented in housing assistance programs and in the homelessness population, and are under-represented in owner-occupation. However, recent innovations and reforms in the disability sector are expected to have a major impact on housing for people with disability.
