Abstract

This chapter examines the application of positive psychology and coaching psychology in schools. It provides an overview of these fields and research conducted to date. The chapter outlines the potential of the combined use of these complementary approaches in the development of larger scale positive education programmes in schools. It relevants to those working in education, although the descriptions of positive psychology and coaching psychology have a broader relevance.
