JB was a co-investigator on an investigator-driven study of HPV prevalence in Australia that received partial equal and unrestricted grant funding from CSL Ltd and GlaxoSmithKline. She was also an investigator on a serosurvey of HPV antibodies in Australia that received funding for the laboratory testing component from CSL Ltd. KM received a speaker's fee from CSL Ltd in 2006 and an honorarium from GlaxoSmithKline for participating in an advisory board meeting in 2004. JL, CJ and LT have no competing interests to declare.No specific project funding was received to undertake this study.
