Marine radar measurements of waves and currents during turning winds

Abstract
Navigational radar has been used to obtain two dimensional wave spectra during a field experiment in the North Sea. It is shown how the wave spectra change in response to changing wind direction. Near surface currents obtained with the radar are compared with current measurements by CODAR. © 1985 Deutsches Hydrographisches Institut.
