This document, “Suggestions for UNICEF Strategy on Multilingual Education and Social Cohesion,” is the product of a multi-stakeholder and multi-country research project - the Language Education and Social Cohesion (LESC) Initiative in Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand. The LESC Initiative was one of the major components of the four-year global Peacebuilding, Education and Advocacy (PBEA) Programme (2012-2015/2016), which was implemented by UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO) and supported by the Government of Netherlands.
