Attribution of some unsigned articles of Berlioz in the Revue et Gazette Musicale de Paris (1834-1837)1

Abstract

Since 1967 the New Berlioz Edition (NBE) has been regularly issuing new editions of Berlioz’s music.2 His music criticism however still remains largely uncollected. This lack is in the process of being remedied by a joint team of French, American and Canadian researchers who are compiling and publishing Berlioz’s complete music criticism in a twelve-volume set, including a two-volume critical commentary. This will form part of a new series of reference volumes entitled La vie musicale en France au XIXe Siècle: Etudes et Documents under the general editorship of H.
