Abstract

Flow cytometry is used extensively to probe nanoparticle/cell interactions. However, distinguishing between weak nanoparticle fluorescence over cellular autofluorescence is challenging. L. Selby, A. Johnston and colleagues describe an algorithm that uses an iterative deconvolution process to identify the cells that have interacted with nanoparticles within the sample, allowing for the detection of small changes that would otherwise be missed, on page 2333.
