Abstract

Boyce and Tobin make an important contribution to the debate about changes in State-funded psychiatry. They emphasise the variety of ways in which the role of the psychiatrist may be shaped, and encourage a reframing of questions which more commonly have had a negative connotation about the psychiatrist's place and responsibilities. © 1998, The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
