Towards practical design support for teachers

Abstract

It is commonly accepted that teachers play a pivotal role in the implementation of educational reform. Teachers are expected to teach as well as to design lessons. However, compared to professional designers, they have far less time and resources available. In this paper we therefore make a plea for the development of practical design support for teachers, which is adapted to both the educational reform and the limited time and resources of teachers.
