Abstract
A review of ionic complexes that are larger than diatomics is given. First, the experimental techniques used to obtain high-resolution spectra of ionic complexes, as well as the details of individual systems are described. For each complex, attention is given to structures, binding energies, force constants, potential barriers, frequency shifts, and intermolecular frequencies derived from spectroscopy, thermochemistry, and calculations. Overall, the review sheds some light on prospective developments in the field.
