Abstract
This chapter was included in the current book because of the high degree of comorbidity between anxiety and mood disorders that are commonly experienced by physicians when patients first present for treatment. In recent years, strong evidence has been presented for the efficacy of these substances in addressing mood disorders. • St John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) • Saffron (Crocus sativus) • ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids • Zinc • SAMe (S-Adenosyl methionine).
