Abstract

Detectability piays an important roie in the analysis of control engineering systems. This paper proposes two novel detectability conditions: weak detectability and L2 detectability under the framework of the signal set. These conditions are generalizations of well-known concepts such as detectability and weakly zero-state detectability and they can be applied to large classes of systems or signals characterized by signal sets. Other than introducing these two detectability conditions, the contribution of this paper is three-fold. First of all, the relationships between these two detectability conditions are discussed. Secondly, several essential and important characterizations are explored...
