Abstract

There is probably no hotter topic in education research than class size reduction – it is rigorously debated during political elections, at contract negotiation time, in discussions on the difference between public and private schools, and it is often heralded as the answer to improving student achievement. There is a now a voluminous amount of research on this topic such that it justifies this book. What more can be said?
