Abstract

Molar Incisor Hypomineralization (MIH) poses a significant challenge to clinicians worldwide. Since its description in 2001, extensive research has provided some insight into the condition, its aetiology, natural history and management. An appreciation of the unique clinical features and management considerations of MIH is essential to maximize patient outcomes. Early diagnosis is the first of several key steps in developing an appropriate management plan, which must account for short- and long-term needs of the patient.
