Planting for Children’s Play

Abstract
Plants are critically important elements in a playspace. Where built structures are static, plants are living and dynamic, and provide endless opportunities for play. Their lifecycles, growth features and seasonal changes, big and small, provide new sensations and experiences. As a source of sensory interest, colour and loose materials for play, they cannot be matched by anything man-made.
