Abstract
A receiver-stimulator chip has been custom designed for a multiple-channel hearing prosthesis. The chip contains nearly all of the implant electronics, including a data receiver, digital-to-analog converter, three stimulus current generators and timing controllers, 20 output stages, and an outward telemetry subsystem. It has been fabricated and is now in use in an advanced cochlear implant. © 1991 IEEE
