This paper reports the first comprehensive statistical analysis conducted of data generated in a longitudinal study designed to identify early-career Visual Art teacher experiences in regards to (1) the extent to which they continue to create art, (2) their perceptions of the quality of their teaching, and (3) their expectations of retention in teaching. Rolling recruitment has occurred since 2011 using successive graduating cohorts from the University of Melbourne's Master of Teaching (Visual Art) program (N=147).
