Reviews data source problems faced by researchers in Australia in investigating a variety of aspects of medical geography. Describes the nature of health care services organization in Australia, and reports on the recent contributions geographers have made to investigating the spatial characteristics of epidemiological phenomena, questions of equity in the provision of and access to health care services, and behavioural analyses of consumer use of health care resources.- Author
