Abstract

Social media platforms such Twitter are shaping scholars’ practices of organising and disseminating information (Li and Greenhow, 2015; Pearce et al., 2010; Veletsianos and Kimmons, 2012). As more academics engage with this technology for professional engagement associated to research, learning and teaching, and establishing a community of practice, more understanding of engagement and participation is required.
