Research Background: The Wakeford Hall Design Competition brief called for a reception building containing a library and administrative area in Hooke Park, Dorset UK that facilitates architecture and construction pedagogy for the independent school of Architecture, the Architectural Association. The research questions the brief on two levels. Firstly, can design be conceived as a series of strategies and tactics?
