Scleral indentation: a review of the procedure and indications for use

Scleral indentation is a procedure which enhances detection and allows dynamic evaluation of peripheral retinal lesions. It can be employed by clinicians familiar with binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy. The technique, indications and contra‐indications for scleral indentation are discussed.
