Abstract
The new complexes [MoL(S2CNR2)2(Me2SO)NO] (R = Et, L = NCO- or N3-; R = Me, L = NCO-) and (R’4N) [MO(NCO)2(S2CNR2)2NO] (R = R’ = Et; R = Me, R’ = Me or Et) have been isolated following the reactions of cis MO(S2CNR-)2(NO)2] with sodium azide and potassium cyanate. Use of 15N-labelled azide has confirmed that molybdenum bonded to a single nitrogen atom must be involved in the reduction of this ligand to ammonia and dinitrogen in strong acid. © 1976 CSIRO.
