Abstract

SUMMARYIt is suggested that it is appropriate to design discrete‐time self‐tuning controllers from a continuous‐time (as opposed to purely discrete‐time) point of view. Such a design method is outlined, and is shown to overcome some well known problems associated with self‐tuning controllers.
