Abstract
The 13C n.m.r. spectra of l-R-azulenes, where R = NO2, CN, COCH3, COCF3, Br, OMe, OCOPh and NH2, have been assigned by comparison with other aromatic systems and by consideration of C-H couplings in the fully coupled 13C spectra.
