Abstract
Three of the seven carbon resonances, namely C5, C6 and C7, in the 13C N.M.R. spectrum of the 2-phenylbicyclo[2,2,1]hept-2-yl cation skeleton have been reassigned by consideration of the fine structure of the off-resonance decoupled spectrum, and comparison with the spectra of 2-aryl-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2,2,1]hept-2-yl cations and the 3-deutero-2-phenylbicyclo[2,2,1]hept-2-yl cation. © 1977, CSIRO.
