Abstract

This study aimed to compare the prevalence of depression and anxiety in English (ES) and non-English speaking (NES) hospital outpatients with type 2 diabetes. Overall, depression and/or anxiety were present in 31% of patients. The prevalence of depression was significantly higher in NES than ES patients (p = 0.03). © 2008 Elsevier Ireland Ltd.
