This chapter discusses the evaluation of educational interventions in general, and interventions for preparing health care professionals to practice in the information and information and communication technology (ICT)-rich environment of the twenty-first century in particular. It starts by providing an overview of evaluation including the relationship between research and evaluation, attributes of evaluation, and levels of evaluation. It then moves to challenges of evaluating educational interventions in general and those intended to prepare clinicians for the digital era in particular. Approaches to address these challenges are discussed.
