Abstract

Past research has revealed a relationship of perfectionism with dysmorphic appearance concern (DAC). Little research, however, has examined moderators of this relationship, including among men, whose appearance concerns are underresearched compared with women. Emotion regulation is one potential moderator that may be particularly compromised among men. Thus, the aim of the present study was to examine the role of emotion dysregulation in the relationship of perfectionism with DAC among men.
