Abstract
This dissertation provides an in-depth account of late 19th-century public buildings in the former British colony of Queensland (1859–1901), which is now a state of Australia. One intention has been to address the lack of any sustained, critical account of these buildings, as a group, within the broader construction of Queensland’s written architectural history.
