Abstract
2CdA has proven activity in follicular NHL and has been shown to have synergy with anthracyclines and cyclophosphamide, and a lack of cross-resistance with vincristine and anthracyclines, in in-vitro studies. While the true benefit of combination regimens remains to be evaluated, an alternating non-cross-reactive regimen has the promise of lower toxicity. We have modified the traditional CHOP regimen (because of increased opportunistic infections in regimens containing both 2CdA and corticosteroids) and explored its combination in alternating cycles with 2CdA. Twenty-one patients with untreated follicular NHL were recruited from six centres. All had biopsy-proven disease (Working Formulation..
