Breastfeeding for procedural pain in infants beyond the neonatal period

Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To determine the effect of breastfeeding on procedural pain in infants beyond the neonatal period (first 28 days of life) up to one year of age, undergoing painful procedures, compared to no intervention, placebo, parental holding, breast or formula milk, oral sucrose or glucose, distraction, or other interventions.
