Abstract
"In this chapter we reviewed the basis of CT and MR imaging (structural and functional) and their application in geriatric neuroimaging. There has been tremendous increase in the use of imaging in studying the brain. The neuroimaging studies have provided insight into normal aging and the neuropsychiatric diseases of aging (including Alzheimer's disease). The chapter also provides examples of studies of geriatric population (i.e.: normal aging, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, etc) done using CT, structural MRI and functional MRI imaging." © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
