This chapter provides an introduction to social marketing and considers applications to wellbeing and conceptual similarities to wellbeing. The chapter begins by identifying that wellbeing is a multifaceted concept that has synergies with social marketing. Key principles and concepts of social marketing are then presented, and examples are provided of how social marketing and wellbeing may overlap. Conceptual similarities between the ethos of social marketing and wellbeing are also highlighted.
