Abstract
Background: Multiple sclerosis, a neurological condition that frequently results in significant disability and poor quality of life, may profoundly affect the lives of partners of people with the condition. Experiences of partners may be influenced by uncertainty and the anticipation or reality of being a caregiver. Positive experiences have also been described such as personal growth through adversity. Evidence-based lifestyle interventions may significantly slow disease progression and improve quality of life for people with multiple sclerosis.
